Kimberly Summers, President of Student Concierge Services, has a long history with serving the diverse needs of many individuals in varied communities. With her background, and now being a parent of a boarding student herself, Kimberly believes there is a great need for a “Mom in place of Mom” for the boarding students whose parents are located out of state or internationally. Combining many years as a caregiver, teacher, and working in administrative roles, Kimberly is thrilled to now bring it all together in a business platform designed to assist adolescents navigating their way through boarding school.
With a life-long passion for horses, and after attending the University of MA at Amherst, Kimberly began a long career as an equestrian trainer and instructor. During her many years teaching at the Dana Hall School in Wellesley MA, she partnered with an adult student and formed the non-profit, City to Saddle, which has successfully sent hundreds of economically disadvantaged youths to riding camps across New England. After her teaching career, Kimberly went back to her roots in senior care where the hours better aligned with raising her son, now a sophomore at a CT boarding school. During this time, Kimberly also worked as a personal assistant to some of Boston's leading professionals.
“I am passionate about giving and helping and being a mother—what better way to combine my history than to manage a business which sees to the needs of these young boarding school students. I am thrilled to know these students and to be a part of their lives as they develop into independent young adults.”
